Parish Lunch

The next Parish Lunch will be on Sunday 7th July, after the 11.00 am service. We will be in the Royal Oak. Last time the food was good, and the service was quick. It’s a great chance to be together. If cost is an issue speak privately to me or to Carol Jones. We don’t want anyone excluded because of money.

Cake Rota

Please sign up at the back of church. What do you like to find on the table? Imagine you had not had time for breakfast…what would you choose? That’s what we need to offer. Thanks to those who do this regularly. If you prefer to give funds, speak to Pat or Wendy.

Churchyard Clean up

Thanks to all who played a part in this. A lot of work was done and vegetation thrown away. The team managed to fill a skip which was quite an achievement. If you haven’t wandered in there lately do go and look. It is looking very good.

Messy Church

The next Messy Church will be 9th July. Do please sign up on the sheet in Church. There are a variety of things to do and all help much appreciated.

Women’s Fellowship (formally wives)

Tuesday 2 July 3pm meet at the Woodcote Hotel Hooton for afternoon tea. If you need help with getting there chat to one of the ladies in church.

Rector on holiday

I am away from the parish from 4th – 10th July. All services are covered. If you are in urgent need of assistance, please contact 0151 334 4155 and we will do our best to assist you. The Rectory will still be occupied.

Rector’s day off

Just to remind people that currently my day off is on Monday. When you Whatsapp message me and say, ‘I know it’s your day off but…’ know that on some Mondays that is a lot of messages to ignore. I work Tuesday- Sunday inclusive. Occasionally, I work Monday too as in next week but it is not the norm. Thanks for your understanding. Jenny

Silent Disco

This is taking place on Saturday 26th July in the upstairs room of Bromborough Social club. You pay £10 and get a headset. You listen to the type of music that you like. Most popular music tastes catered for.  It’s funny watching people dancing to different sounds. Bar available. All welcome but you need to be able to climb the social club stairs! The other good thing is that if you switch off the headset you can talk to each other because the room is quiet!

Leader’s photos

Those of you who hold a role at church or who are listed on the website in a position of responsibility… we need your picture. Preferably head and shoulders. This is your chance to send one you like and have chosen. Please send to communications@stbarnabasbromborough.org If safeguarding issues mean that you don’t want your photo used please let Andrew Watts know.
