Safeguarding Theme of the Week: Looking after our pets

Safeguarding includes our four-legged visitors too!
Please don’t feed someone else’s dog (and that includes Harry who will say it’s ok – when it really isn’t) without checking with their owner first. Some foods, including chocolate, grapes, raisins and currants, can be dangerous for dogs. Sugar (in cake and biscuits) can also upset their tummy too. Make sure water is available, and only pat or fuss a dog if you know they (and owner) are happy with it. If you’re not sure — ask.
So: kindness, water, consent… and no surprise snacks. Harry approves this safeguarding message.
Thanks to:
all those who helped in any way to make Harvest Special. It was lovely seeing the Wednesday crew make a real effort to join us in Church for the Sunday celebration. None of what we have done with schools, each other and others, happens without a team behind it. You are seen and appreciated. Jenny (Rector)
Thanks to:
everyone who supported the MacMillan Coffee morning last Friday, it raised the grand sum of £146.50 which has been paid to MacMillan. Thanks to Pat Down for looking after the Bring and Buy stall and Zoe for looking after the raffle and of course those who supplied items for the stall. Jenny H
And, thanks to:
all who helped with the Cake and Communion – a big thank you too to all who attended, worshipped, drank tea, scoffed sandwiches and especially those who ate the cake. Ros
