Mothers’ Union
The next meeting will be Tuesday 3rd March at 2.00pm in the Centre. In future meetings will be on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm. At the April meeting, on 21st April, we will hold our AGM and 99th birthday celebrations.
Coffee morning
Saturday 21st March A coffee morning in the Centre 10.30 – 12.30 to Celebrate 150 years of Worldwide Mothers’ Union.
Lent into Holy Week with the Barnabas Consort in St Barnabas
Saturday 28th March at 5.30 pm. All welcome to a musical devotion with music, prayer and readings. Thanks to those who came to evensong last week.
WANTED – A new PCC secretary and a new Churchwarden.
These roles are very serious and important roles in the life of our church. You may only have been worshipping with us for a short time, but you may still be the right person for these jobs. To undertake the role of secretary, you have to have been baptised (as with anyone on the PCC) – to be a churchwarden, baptised and a communicant (that means you receive communion). Please chat to Ian Walker, Thelma, Jenny Hope who has previously been a warden, Fiona if it is about being secretary. I don’t want this to be a last minute panic. And if it absolutely will never be you (it’s never about wanting but rather about calling) please pray that someone will respond to God’s call. We will also need new PCC members too. Could that be you?
