Rota
There is a new Rota in operation. It has been sent out via WhatsApp and is also on the website. It has been emailed too. There are paper copies only for those who do not have access to technology. If that’s you and you need one printed please speak to Fiona Austin or one of the Churchwardens to arrange this.
Help urgently needed in the Centre on Friday
Some months ago no one came to the centre on a Friday. Now, thankfully, it’s a hub of activity. But we desperately need an extra helper on Fridays, between 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm. Could this be you? If it is, please contact Susan Jones by either asking for her, or leaving your details with someone working in the centre. Failing that speak to Jenny Hope or Thelma McGorry who will be delighted to hear from you.
St Mary’s Eastham Advent Carol Service
A gathering to share faith, hope and music on Sunday 30th November at St Mary’s Eastham at 6pm. There will be refreshments after the service. All are welcome.
Sign up Sheets for packing for Food For Families Christmas Project
We are once again packing and sending out food hampers for families at Christmas. The work is happening behind the scenes but we need volunteers to help from 9.00 am on 15th and 16th December. There are rotas in church to sign up to, speak to Helene at Church or message our website if you can help. Thank you in anticipation.
Safeguarding
It is brilliant to report that almost everyone who needs to, has done their training. Thank you. We continue to make progress with ensuring that here at St Barnabas we not only have everyone checked and trained but also aware that keeping all people safe is the job of us all. I know one or two people have been a bit shocked that it has become necessary to stop some people from working in the kitchen. Please remember that this is done with EVERYONE’s care and safety in mind – staff and customers – and that The Centre Café is a commercial business and has to sustain the highest standards of health and safety, safeguarding and Food hygiene standards. If you continue to have any concerns about decisions that are made please speak to me or to Sue Parkin. Thanks Jenny (Rector)
